Anyone with the same model who needs a new prop, shear pin, prop nut and cotter pin, I just saved you 3 hours of research: :) https://www.ebay.com/itm/254475687100
I got tired of waiting for replacement so a castle nut and shear pin from ACE HARDWARD did the trick (no one else carried it including HD or Lowes) so, just the prop above, the correct castle nut over a washer, tightened down somewhat snugly, put cotter pin through hole and the "castle" after putting prop onto the shaft (with the cotter pin in place through the shaft already of course) ENJOY! I doing aprox 4mph faster now!
You might have a few more hours on you than that 1957 outboard. When I worked on them they never breathed. Also after they have run for a hundred hours their reed valves don’t work very well
I'm told the secret is to change your lower unit gear lube regularly, maintain the right "balance" of oil to gas in your mix, and shrink wrap yourself each fall while your owner goes south, to Florida. I should rephrase all that..
I took my entire Sunday off to hand sew and alter a dress blouse for my mom and used the extra fabric to make two different neck scarves for her too. All fabric was used! She will remember the day I spent entirely for her, and zero time on the computer. We need breaks like that every once in a while.
Yeah, my grandfather's Evinrude 5 would sit out in the weather for four months every summer since 1965 or so. Always worked fine. My grandmother's propane fridge, meanwhile, cruised easily past the half century mark and started into its sixties. It never really died. It just became hard to find simple parts for it. Meanwhile I had a machine with two moving parts and it was even more reliable. The machine was so old that even the people who invented it no longer used it but had gone Japanese (Yamaha and such). In that whole region of Georgian Bay, I was the last man who used that machine for actual transportation (as opposed to white-man go-round-in-circles recreation).
The driver of the big boat is 75 and was distracted by his cellphone. The guy in the target boat is suing for $375,000.00. Edit* If all the people that liked this comment liked my channel, I could buy a boat like that.
The Seadoo Spark, introduced in 2014 is a great starter model with good deals out there used.
If you're handy, you can actually buy the 60 horse now for around 3k and step it up to a 90 or 120hp with reprogramming you can hack yourself (hint: it's the SAME engine!!!)
BTW, the 51 year old experienced white guy they fired for warning about EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED would have saved they day had they not fired him for being not "INSPIRATIONAL" enough.
He warned in a court filing that "NOW IS THE TIME TO PROPERLY ADDRESS ITEMS THAT POSE A SAFETY RISK TO PERSONEL. KEY ITEMS I HAVE RAISED HAVE BEEN DISMISSED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS". "I FEEL NOW I MUST MAKE THIS REPORT SO THERE IS AN OFFICIAL RECORD IN PLACE"... "THE SYSTEM IN PLACE WILL NOT REVEAL FLAWS UNTIL THE VESSEL IS DECENDING AND WOULD ONLY PROVIDE MILISECONDS OF WARNING BEFORE A CATASTROPHIC IMPLOSION"
(But math is racist, you know..) YES, IT'S A DELIBERATE INVASION. Listen to first 10 mins of THIS!!
Buy Supplements or vitamins? Most facilities IRRADIATE their raw materials when they arrive, negating their life force. You have to listen to these insiders, and their solutions

1957 - that's impressive! I was created then too; I'm not sure I'm running quite so reliably as earlier!
LOL, same here, but Evinrude proves age is just a number.
I recently added Yerba Mate as my starting fluid and have adjusted my oil/gas mix. (more hydration, less grains, no bread) Seems to work :)
Hey! I'm adjusting my starter fluid as well. Just keep tweeking things until we feel like we're running smoothly! :-)
You want to hydrate? Hydrate with browns gas!

The machine was called a canoe.
Thanks for sharing!
My mom inherited her grandma’s electric mixer, we used it for at least a decade. General Electric.
