Just learned that the farmer who inspired this meme passed away after a freak traffic accident last year. His famous line came from an interview on sustainable no-till farming he gave which he's been doing since 1971 because he couldn't afford not to. "ITS NOT MUCH, BUT ITS HONEST" became a popular meme symbolizing the average hard working non "influencer" American that gets up in the morning and makes everything function without recognition. He didn't know what a meme was until his local banker used his smart phone to show him his face on a meme with millions of likes! RIP Honest Farmer. You're an influencer after all!

It's easy to make a difference in someone's life through Kiva. Just made our loan to a single mother starting a micro business. Constantly blown away by the impact from the same $25 being lent over and over again.
WHAT TO DO ON A 3-5 HR LAYOVER IN LA-GUARDIA AIRPORT
If you've got time for an open ended adventure, try looking for flights on cheapoair.com now that the Spirit deal fell through (blocked by an idiot judge) and they are discounting flights to stay operational (don't worry about shoddy maintainance or anything like that right now. That's way down the road and they'll find some buyer first)
You'll find some RIDICULOUSLY LOW fees, and many will take you through LaGuardia. You can save hundreds by allowing a layover, but then you'll want to try to go see the Empire State Building or something cool. How much time do you need for different stuff without risking missing your flight?
Here's a fantastic overview of LaGuardia Layovers:
Great news for slowpokes like me: Multiple studies now show that the greatest benefit to mortality from running is only about 10 minutes per day at a 10:00/mile pace.
Many people can run faster and longer, by all means, but the net mortality benefit falls off pretty drastically.
It’s reassuring that a light jog here and there can go a long way. Once that “runner’s high” feeling comes along, I’m off for a celebratory beer or sandwich 🍻
Richel May is a hardworking entrepreneur who has a buy-and-sell cereal business in the Philippines. She requested an 18,000 PHP loan through NWTF to buy additional sacks of rice grains to sell.
Richel May has been sustaining her business activities through her own efforts with the help of loans from NWTF. She dreams to save enough money to afford to send her children to college.
I’m happy to contribute. Especially to farmers. They are in desperate demand considering what is coming. Many of the local farmers and ranchers in our area have sold off their land to developers. It’s so disturbing to watch. But they couldn’t afford to keep it going. Thanks for sharing!
My sister & her husband lived in Ft. Myers, now living in North Florida with new jobs. Their house got 2 inches of water. That was enough that they are still getting it fixed & they can’t live there. They are putting it on the market when it’s ready. It was awful. I was shocked that more people didn’t evacuate. They payed the ultimate price.
I know a dozen people who are rebuilding. & a few snowbirds who went back north. Glad your family was able to find work and relocate temporarily. The roads are still full of dump trucks.
I am very familiar with the area. I was born & raised in south Florida. My friends dad managed Graham’s Dairy formerly based in Miami Lakes and it was relocated to Morehaven years ago.
Glad it relocated to Moore Haven, they need economy there. I love the Church of God out there but I watch online because so many buildings have water damage and I react.
Thanks Guys!! Here's our latest micro-loan for a small biz in Chicago bringing healthy alternative snack foods inspired my Mexican traditional nibbles.

Sounds familiar, near farmers Florida, , LaBelle is a cattle & agriculture area, getting sold to developers.
The ranchers there took a beating during & after Hurricane Ian & the Cattleman’s association in our area was raising money to help them out.
Encouraging to hear. It was my first hurricane, wow. People are still traumatized. The community did rally together.
