LOL! Glad I saw this a long time ago - before they put it behind a mandatory register-to-see wall. It's a pretty amazing video - and baby doesn't get carried far. It's more of a cautionary tale. But WOW!
Here in Thailand I am almost certain I have lost a few chickens to birds of prey. The chickens sleep on the roof at night where other predators wouldn't normally get them. I've even heard what sounded like a chick or two being carried away in the night. I also saved a small snake that I think was dropped on the road by a bird of prey. They are out there!
Not to worry. All of the wind farms with their giant raptor killers will eliminate the threat in this country soon... And, then, the damned windmills will collapse onto the unlucky humans in their immediate vicinity.
I watched an American Bald Eagle make the biggest mistake of it's life. It swooped down and grabbed the toughest goddamn cat I have ever owned or seen (I just buried the tough bastard) and it picked him up, pecked off his left ear (most off it) and Cowcat eviscerated that Eagle who instantly dropped him and the vet patched him up. One of the wildest things I have ever seen.
I saw a Nat geo wild episode with biologists observing eagles in Africa and the eagle would get a monkey, rip it in half so it was easier to transport to the nest.
I'm a grown up but just can't click on a video of a baby being grabbed by an eagle and dropped...
I've no idea from what height that baby was dropped. Or what the consequences of that event were.

It is regarded as an Urban Legend, but my Mother in Law saw this actual event.
A full grown pelican, swooped in fast and grabbed a small yapping chihuaha who was not on a leash.
The dog fit in its bill quite well.
The pelican then swallowed the dog, not in one go but with some efforts.
The distraught owner could do nothing.
Witnesses, like herself could do nothing but think "did that really happen?"
Holy crap! The pelican is misclassified as a sea fisher (oceanianus fishOn'us) but is really a Globemaster III level bird of prey!
