Diplomacy is one of the first characteristics I think of when electing a country's leader. Only wish my vote would have had a chance of not getting wiped out. The greatest change started in 2021 and not 2020 in my opinion.

Praying. I hope everyone makes peace and does right in their life decisions and actions. It's what we should be doing every day no matter what makes the headlines.

As long as Putin is heading Russia, there's hope at staying the "puppy leaders" we have here. The hardliners behind Putin won't be as measured.

not sure where the power resides in your equation/description- is it in putin, or those behind him- furthermore- what about here (u.s.)?

are they - the H.O.S (heads of state) a filter, a buffer, or a funnel...?

(related... somehow) Putin: Lessons from Childhood

As a child growing up in Leningrad, Vladimir Putin lived in a run-down five-story building. He and his parents shared an apartment with two other families. The yard was filled with garbage, and the garbage was filled with rats.

“Putin and his friends used to chase after them with sticks, until one day a large rat, which he had cornered, turned and attacked him, giving him the fright of his life. The memory stayed with him, and years later he would draw the lesson: ‘No one should be cornered. No one should be put in a situation where they have no way out.” https://www.veteranstoday.com/2022/09/22/putin-lessons-from-childhood

Did Uncle Sam, a.k.a. Wile E. Coyote, Blow Up the Wrong Pipeline?

The vaunted US Navy screwed up. In the murky depths of the Baltic Sea they planted their explosives to blow up the ***FOUR*** pipes of the NS 1 & NS2 gas pipelines. (You didn’t know there were four pipes, did you? Neither did I.) But they appear to have screwed up and placed two of the explosive packages on one of the NS2 pipes — line A — leaving the other pipe — line B — with no explosive charge, and subsequently ***NO DAMAGE*** https://www.veteranstoday.com/2022/10/05/uncle-wile-e/
