If I were that vet, I would bring them in put a muzzle on the cat person so I wouldn’t get bit, get the vet techs in to assist with an exam, get a rectal temp, check for parasites, 2 tell the “owner” their cat is healthy, give the “cat” some dewormer and a prescription for flea and tic prevention. And plan to get the cat neutered. Charge fees accordingly.

They were demanding litter boxes in the school restrooms and bowls to eat and drink out of. The school board said that identifying as an animal does not qualify them for any type of support.
Disgusting! They do stuff like that while ignoring or shortchanging accommodations for disabled children. But if you are a parent of a special needs child who is denied a critically needed therapeutic service by the school and need to hire an attorney, it will cost an arm and a leg! These loons are most likely threatening to sue and the school district who scrambles to appease and feed their delusion. Not to mention they are probably being offered legal assistance pro bono. I’m thinking about volunteering at my son’s high school this year so I can get a good look at this shit.

When I worked in wound care with a plastic surgeon that evaluated para and quadriplegics with pressure ulcers for a muscle flap procedure to close these horrific wounds. 1 of our patients was a man who was a paraplegic because he tried to commit suicide. He jumped off the Sunshine Skyway bridge in St Pete FL and survived. I believe he was the only 1 who had survived the jump of 430 ft. Anyway, he came to our clinic a few years later to get a 2nd opinion for wound closure of pressure ulcer and also discuss transitioning to female. He was gay, bipolar and a drug addict. Our Plastic surgeon a decent, compassionate man who handled this guys delusion in the most processional manner I’d ever seen from any of our surgeons. He explained the details of the procedure and told him he wouldn’t be a candidate due to having open wounds. Not to mention the cost involved over $100,000 cash. Insurance, Medicaid included did not cover it back when. Since this story was covered in our local news media at the time the initial suicide attempt, is the only reason I am sharing some of the details as the guy had consented to publicly telling his story. A few years later they ran another story about him when he died of sepsis and pneumonia.
I personally can’t wrap my head around the obvious mental illness in those who would allow surgical mutilation to change who they are. But that’s just me. Those who are in favor of this and capitalize from it are evil because these people will always be unhappy and unbalanced.
It was shocking that he did survive. I did his intake assessment and realized he told me he was the guy that survived the Skyway jump. But like many with mental illness who don’t get proper care it caught up with him in the end. Their physical health is always destroyed in the process.
