WANT TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR "FRIENDS" THE LAST 3 YEARS?

Read THIS!

While this book discusses a specific Reserve Unit during WWII, the general argument Browning makes is that most people succumb to the pressures of a group setting and commit actions they would never do of their own volition. Christopher R. Browning’s account illustrates the every-day banality of evil and how all of us are fully cabable of both doing it AND justifying it in our minds and making it socially acceptable and even mandatory. This book explains step by step how a unit of average middle-aged Germans became the cold-blooded murderers of tens of thousands of Jews—now with a new afterword and additional photographs.

Ordinary Men is a powerful, chilling, and important work with themes and arguments that continue to resonate today.

ONE QUICK EXAMPLE of a recent non-profit micro-loan enabled by our paid Subscribers:

Our contribution towards a loan of $825 helps Suherni, an unbanked entrepreneur, to buy more fish for resale to expand her business and take care of her family. Suherni is 43 years old and married with two sons and two daughters. She runs a business selling a variety of fish to support her family. She has been running this business for more than ten years, and it has been a great contribution to the life of her family, not only to their daily needs but also to her children's educational needs.

Before we stepped in, Suherni applied but was shot down for a loan of 12,000,000 Indonesian rupiahs (IDR) from KBMI to get additional capital to buy more fish for resale to expand her business. Her income is not sufficient to make it happen, but she will be able to repay the loan she receives from us in timely manner, allowing us to lend out the money AGAIN to another deserving entrepreneur.

New technologies come into existance, but some old ones cntinue to be used. Like pencils, we still use them and I delight in being able to erase. I learned to draft on a drafting board, but I do cad now. It is both better and worse than hand drafting, it is really completely different, especially when you can model a building to create all the elevations. The model ends up being quicker than resolving the elevations by hand, but I can do both. (I am of a lucky age where I learned both). We never fully, completely give up 'tried and true' ways for the new ways, often they cohabitate, sometimes forever. Calculators came along, but I still add up or divide numbers by hand daily. Hand crank drills are used by many a fence builder in the styx. A bike pump will easily pump up a car tire. People still bow hunt, and a sling shot can take out Goliath, still. We have many more options than in 1930, but we still use some of the things they used in 1930 to move and spin a 11,000 ton building. We have more options than ever, if we can remember the old ways too.

There is no good or bad or better or worse...only life. The minute you start to compare your present circumstances to the past, you are doomed to be forever in a state of anxiety about not being better or because you deem things to be worse than before. You cannot win this game or control the outcome.

All you need do is look at all the psychopaths running the world. These are people who for all intents and purposes would be far better off dead. They are control freaks doomed to be forever living in a world of hate and despair because there is no way they can ever hope to control everything.

It all came crashing down about '73. I was in high school.

The average person never got another raise (till Donald Trump & we lost that long ago).

Fun Fact: Elon Musk still sells his Boring Company FLAMETHROWER Billed as the "world's safest flamethrower," The Boring Company CEO has also stated that the flamethrower is within the legal limits permitted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, as it produces a flame no more than 10 feet long.

Life is always getting worse. As long as humanity rejects the Creator this will continue to happen.
