Now 27, he and his brother Josh as Billy (the drummer) and the Curley Brothers play at microbreweries, vineyards, and weddings in Northern Virginia, Frederick MD, and the West Virginia Panhandle. Love watching the kids dance and the parents laugh as they do so.
We had music in our lives every weekend during the Plandemic. It was a grand respite from clown world trickery and deception. Creativity and laughter is not the devil's strength.
The Irish survived 800 years of slavery with music...oh, and poetry and dance and literature.
But as a poet, I concede music matters most to survival and civilization, now as always.
My oldest left IT & plays lead guitar in a band doing the same at our local venues and now around the state. He plays guitar, bass, mandolin & banjo. Business really kicked in for them during the pandemic.
When he’s not doing music he’s growing corals for salt water aquariums and doing saltwater setups as small business he started during the pandemic.
Good for him. My son is still an acoustic engineer during the work week and plays weekends. He would love to do it full time. Here are some of his originals: https://soundcloud.com/eamoncurley
I sing in the church choir on Sunday. The words in sacred music slay me.
Eamon just told me that his Peabody violin professor is now running the new Peabody Music Conservatory branch in Frederick, MD.
Guess parents no longer want to take their wee ones through the crime infested neighborhoods around the Baltimore, MD Peabody.
One more reason I am so glad we moved from the corrupt and failing MD to the hard working, classic American, high Veteran population, Almost Heaven By God WV two years ago.
It's a gift from God. When he was 10, he auditioned and got into the Peabody Music Academy in Baltimore, MD. But he would have had to practice in a concrete cell for 4 hours a day. My wife and I did not cotton to that idea. Instead, she found a professor from the Academy who lived nearby. I took him for classical lessons every week for years. He has put in thousands of hours of practice over the years. Now, he plays mostly Irish, Appalachian, country, etc. and rarely classic. He provides smiles to parents and children which I love. Here is a link if you want to hear some of his original songs. https://soundcloud.com/eamoncurley
That’s Awesome! I have to agree with your wife on that decision. My son never would have been happy going that route. Kids who are truly gifted don’t need to go to the extreme to develop their talents. Especially if it negatively affects their well being. When he was 12 he asked for a a bass guitar for Christmas because the youth ministry at church needed someone to play bass on the kids worship team. Within 2 weeks he had mastered the bass. Plus he took a few private lessons. Then picked up the guitar and other the other instruments on his own. He taught music for a couple years while in college. Now he does it for pure enjoyment. He is ready to go back to school next semester to work on
If the Beltway Ivory tower Neocon Betas so fond of war had actual skin and blood in the game, they wouldn't be so glib about proxy wars, collateral damage, and refusing to negotiate peace. Watch
How DARE they introduce a genetic vaccine into the NIP without telling anyone!
I'm warning every parent that comes in with a baby about it, and I've told the practice manager that I refuse to administer it until the NIP provides details regarding clinical trials, safety data, and an explanation for their underhanded behaviour.
Beautiful. My son was squealing in delight over the song.
How long before songs like this are banned? Russel brand on rumble today remarked on new censorship laws taking effect in the next few months. I believe he mentioned france is enacting a law which allows them to turn on your phone speaker and listen in. It isnt creeping anymore. Its sweeping all countries now.
One of our son’s found it on you tube in another language that we couldn’t identify. I shared this with him when I saw this and we had a good laugh. He has verbal dyspraxia so it connected with him in more ways than I can say.
Biden just lost the US Embassy in Lebanon.
That makes 5 since he took office.
We were told that Biden & Blinken were foreign policy “experts.”
We were told that “the adults are back in charge.”
Look around you.
The world has been on FIRE since Biden’s disaster in Afghanistan.
America has been circling the drain since he stepped into the Oval.
How can we call ourselves a serious country if we don’t impeach him?
Have you ever heard

Your son plays violin beautifully!

Good for him.
Having great kids is a blessing.
