I can't make a recommendation, but for me, the data on Ivermectin tells me its more effective in many situations. If I had one it would be Iver, but HCQ is good to have on hand too.

Horse paste from tractor supply is the cheapest alternative, durvet ivm paste, dosage based on patient weight, about 6$ for a 10 day supply for one person. I was taking the recommended dosage (same as a horse but using my weight) twice daily. Flccc has indicated that required dosage has increased as perhaps the virus evolved.
For me, I took IVM and my fever was gone the same day, but I had a pretty bad headache for 5 days. I had not respiratory symptoms, just a headache. IVM doesn't cross into the brain so it won't help inflammation there I guess. I tried fluvoxamine but it took a while to get it and it didn't have a notable effect, maybe it needs to be taken earlier.
I think there is decent likelihood that people with natural immunity and no vax just don't catch it again if you are healthy and have healthy microbiome and vitamin d. I didn't catch it until Jan 2023 and have not been sick since then at all.
I wonder what they plan to release. I'm sure it's possible to tune up a version that is very hard on vaxxed people, probably a lot easier to accomplish than for unvaxxed, because the vaxxed is more of an antibody monoculture, and then there's the IGg4 factor. Unfortunately since we are majority vaxxed, whatever impacts that population will drive the response.
