There is NO DOUBT that the targeting of DEW energy discharges is computer controlled down to inches and that control is both aboard the aircraft OR at a base control center. So precise targeting is not a problem at all. It's very similar to the remote control of Reaper Drones killing alleged terrorists halfway around the world from their Nevada Weapons Control Centers.
But I'm a little suspicious of the blue coloring affecting the absorption of the energy, let alone it being deliberately chosen to reflect DEW energy wavelengths. Funny though, as I think about the possibility, I chuckle a bit. Our enemy is nothing, if not diabolical in their methods...
First the beam is only used to start a pinpoint burn. it's very thin and has to be held on a target for a period of time. It's not powerful enough to scan a swath over a whole area and set it afire. And once you do start a burn, you no longer have micro-control over where it goes.
But the issue of using a color of a certain wavelength to neutralize the energy is an interesting concept. I do know that lasers have frequencies at which they are more efficient in transferring energy to a target. I saw a video of a guy who found some blue tee-shirts in the burned remains of a clothing outlet of some kind and he pointed out that they were not burned at all... So, there's that.
I would want to confirm all these celebrity houses actually had that coloring on their roofs. There's a site that flew a drone over most of Lahaina with a very well-focused hi-resolution camera. IT's on YouTube MauiLFG.org and the videos are on YouTube. I'll have to go back and see if any blue roofs are seen on undamaged houses. then look up the address and see who owns them.
