Saturday Errands
& a Majestic Moment
Running some errands on a Saturday afternoon, I pull up next to a beat-up pickup at the light. I can hear the rumbling base punctuated by an occasional vocal.
I look over and there’s this cool, wizened old guy looking straight ahead, lip synching, and happy as a clam. More than happy. He was having a moment.
He looked downright…. joyful.
I cracked the window to catch the song.

The light turned green and I sped away. When I looked back in the mirror, he hadn’t moved yet.
