Thanks to all the help from STNN readers and members, we've figured out the origins of the catchy tune we saw performed on our substack cruise while exploring near Falmouth, Jamaica last week.
Here's an extended version of the clip (read on for origins)
I loved the song, but it was surprisingly difficult to pin down online.
I began to think it might be an original (dreams of monetizing new indigenous talent danced in my head. Changa, the Reggae Whisperer!
One dream in my life one hand in mine that what I've waited for
Two dreamin as one love has begun promisin so much more
Noone else can see that you're built up all to me
I love you higher than anyone can count no end of the amount
Of love I add and you inspire what love is all about
No shadow with a doubt - I love you
Three kisses from you, that's when I knew heaven was on my side
For-ever we are two seperate stars sharin a common light
If I am the price you're the winner in my eyes
I love you higher than anyone can count no end of the amount
A love I am and you inspire what love is all about
Hey I can't live without your love
Are you feelin what I'm feelin it's the strength and the power of love
You can always count on me cause lovin you comes easily
I love you higher than anyone can count no end of the amount
Of love I add and you inspire what love is all about...
Luckily, readers helped me cobble the origins together.
AFAIK, this song is the creation of a singer famous in the late 80s and early 90s, yet I've never heard of Randy Crawford.
Check it out!
