“IF THIS DOESN'T PLAY AT MY FUNERAL, I'M NOT GOING”
Andre Rieu was just an “odd kid” for most of his life. A bit of a loner with a fascination for obscure classical pieces and austro-hungarian folk ballads long forgotten.
He started playing them on violin, wherever one or two would listen.
On the way, he steadily acquired the ability to play half a dozen other instruments.
He was dirt poor and people told him to get a real job all the time.
One year in the late 90's people began to realize that Rieu's gift was not just bringing old music back to life, but the ability to make you feel like it was being produced and written in real time, just for you.
Suddenly he went from street performer to mega Yanni-style concerts with front row tickets in the thousands of dollars.
He used the money to build the show, hire the very best musicians and vocalists, and then he took it world wide.
Now there's a waiting list of top talent and famous venues who want to be a part of and host his events.
These are not “concerts”. They are singular experiences that many have described as “life-changing”.
If you get a chance, Go!
Here's the Lonely Shepard, played by the best Shephard's flute player of all time in front of a crowd of thousands.
It's not so lonely after all.
Never give up on your Dreams.
Shoot for the stars and at least you'll hit the moon, while others are settling for tree top level.
Speakers Uuup!
(In the words of the late maestro Randy Foy “there won't be a dry seat in the house”:) Enjoy
