Scientific facts gathered in the past 10 years do not support the notion of catastrophic human-made warming as a basis for drastic carbon dioxide emission cuts.

The Climate Action Report, a periodic report to the United Nations, was issued in early June. A media frenzy claimed that this report somehow contained revelatory new science that changed the debate on global warming.

The report has little new science. But since 1992, when America embarked on the Rio Treaty, a great deal of new science has come forward. The United States is a leader in studying the subject. The U.S. has invested some $45 billion in research funding on this question over the past 10 years.

I wanted to update you on the latest science since 1992 and assure you that what is in the Climate Action Report is really nothing revelatory.

Warming Up to the Truth: The Real Story About Climate Change

A great place to learn more is the website of The Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) is what its name suggests: an international panel of nongovernment scientists and scholars who have come together to understand the causes and consequences of climate change. Because we are not predisposed to believe climate change is caused by human greenhouse gas emissions, we are able to look at evidence the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) ignores. Because we do not work for any governments, we are not biased toward the assumption that greater government activity is necessary.

NIPCC traces its roots to a meeting in Milan in 2003 organized by the

Science and Environmental Policy Project (SEPP), a nonprofit research and education organization based in Arlington, Virginia. SEPP, in turn, was founded in 1990 by Dr. S. Fred Singer, an atmospheric physicist, and incorporated in 1992 following Dr. Singer’s retirement from the University of Virginia. Don’t believe me about “saint” Al Gore? He’s been cashing in on climate change the way Biden cashes in on family-run oil and gas companies in Ukraine, without even showing up! He sells influence and policymaking that goes straight to the bottom line, his pockets!

According to Bloomberg News, Gore had less than $2 million when he left the vice presidency in 2001. Today his fortune is more than $100 million (Fast Company, July 2007) and the prospects are that he will grow even richer mounting his crusade against global warming.

Question: Why is Co² emissions such a "crisis" when Co² is essential for plant life? Commercial machines that produce high levels of Co² are used in Commercial Greenhouses to increase faster plant production, and greater yield! Increased Co² in our atmosphere produces greater forestation, and higher crop production yields. Go figure.
