Lang Lang (Chinese: 郎朗; pinyin: Láng Lǎng; born 14 June 1982) is a Chinese pianist who has performed with leading orchestras in China, North America, Europe, and elsewhere. Active since the 1990s, he was the first Chinese pianist to be engaged by the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic, and some top American orchestras. A Chicago Tribune music critic called him "the biggest, most exciting young keyboard talent I have encountered in many a year of attending piano recitals". Lang is considered by many one of the most accomplished classical musicians of modern times.
“People that have never played don't truly understand how sublimely masterful this performance is. Lang Lang absolutely knocked it out of the park!”
Enjoy!
ps. Don't worry about the Bollywood crowd. They're fake, but the performance is real. Seriously.
Sorry, not to my taste, and not just because of the banality of the piece he is playing. I have heard other performances by him on YouTube (concertos etc), and yes, he has a very facile technique and is capable of playing fast, but his interpretations are pretty much cookie-cutter. I think he fits in perfectly with the Bollywooders.
He looked like he was having oh so much fun!
Still like Victor Borge though
