Here's what I found:

1. Kids love going somewhere, anywhere with making a video in mind, capturing raw footage and thinking through the presentation in their heads.

2. They love editing the footage, adding music, effects etc when it's simple and easy to do.

3. They love sharing the final product.

4. Their videos help then connect with others, memorialize otherwise forgettable moments, and help you to “BE PRESENT”.

I highly recommend you pick a Gopro 7 black (or higher series) up, and include an extra battery, a clear waterproof housing (even though it's rated waterproof to 6ft or so already) and a selfie stick which makes walking high angle video WAY more immersive.

Pro tip: for Ebay auctions, watch multiple ones and note the ending days and times. Don't put in your bid until you “snipe” during the last minute or two, and you may well pay under $100.
